One of the most interesting exhibits we have featured to date, Abstract to Contemporary features Virginia artists who work in either an abstract or contemporary genre with some straddling and blurring the lines. From colorful and bright to thought provoking, the works in the exhibit will elicit reaction, emotion and wonderment, which most great art strives to do. From modernist landscapes to an exploration of dreams and relationships, featuring unexpected colors and emotions, these works will hopefully engage emotions and thought. Exhibit runs June 15th to July 8th. The exhibit features Aaron Bowles, Nancy Jacey, Tommy Fox and Blair Sutton. You can see their artist statements under the visual artists page.

She stopped in to visit with us on her travels to see how our artists depict the local scenery and way of life on the Chesapeake Bay. Many of our artists live right here in the Chesapeake Bay region and find great inspiration all around. You can view the online article below.
