This trail allows visitors to enjoy and appreciate oysters from seven different regions of the state. With so many varieties, it’s no wonder that Virginia is considered to be “The Oyster Capital of the East Coast.” Our state is actually the third largest seafood producer in the entire country. The opening of the Main Gallery at Allure Art Center is Friday June 19th at 6pm. Featured will be 5 local artists with watercolors, sculpture and photography. Artist’s will be Jeff Cherry, John Latell, Yeon Jung, Susan-Ludwig Peyron and JLyn Henderson. Articles on the opening appeared in both the Southside Sentinel, Rappahannock Record papers, as well as the Lancaster Chamber and Northern Neck Artisan Trail Facebook pages.
